Indie authors are continually being introduced to new types of software and tools design to make their work more efficient and profitable.
If you are any way at all familiar with Publisher Rocket, you will be aware that this online application – which can be downloaded for a one-time fee of $100.00 – is designed to enable authors to better promote their books and eBooks.
So, for those who know next to nothing about Publisher Rocket, you’re probably eager to find out how exactly it works.
A helping hand in book promotion
One of the most common ways for indie authors to promote their books is through AMS (Amazon Service Ads). Generally – at least in my experience – these ads work best when they include plenty of profitable keywords (in other words, the author gets a strong return on investment (ROI).
By including keywords that are continually searched for by readers in your ads, your chances of having increased sales are much greater.
This is one area where even some of the most talented writers struggle with. And that’s exactly why Publisher Rocket was created.
In my professional opinion, this application is worth every penny. As indie authors, we are constantly busy not only writing, but acting as our own marketers.
Saves you time
Publisher Rocket takes much of the guesswork out of finding keywords, therefore saving you an incredible amount of time and headspace, which in turn will lead to more productivity and less tiredness.
When using this application, one does a keyword search. To give you an example; if you type in the phrase ‘political thrillers’ you will get that phrase plus dozens of related ones.
whichever one you click on, you will be given pertinent information regarding that specific keyword such as:
- Number of competitors
- Average price
- Average monthly earnings
- Estimated number of searches per month
- Competitive score
Not only will you find Publisher Rocket more efficient, but it also gives you all the information you want to know in one convenient place.
A word about competitive score
This is a big one for indie authors, as words that rank too high of a competitive score could be detrimental to your sales. Likewise, keywords that rank too low generally means there are not enough searches for that keyword, also potentially hurting your ability to sell more books.
Competitive score color codes are in red, yellow, and green, as well as numbers.
For instance, if you click on a category or subcategory of a genre of books and get a ‘20’, that means low competition, while an ‘80’ means high competition.
Anything <100 means not enough searches, and therefore, most likely lower monthly earnings as well.
One thing to note; it’s helpful if the user of this software is somewhat tech savvy, as in the beginning it can be a little tricky to learn everything. But overall, I highly recommend downloading Publisher Rocket and using it for each of your AMS ads.
